Deep within a manic market on Inle lake, the extreme work-ethic and passion of the local population really took me by surprise. The sense of community was apparent as traders helped each other out, even if they were in competition. Every item sold on the market was manufactured locally and little was wasted. I spotted this woman from the other side of her market section. She seemed warm and welcoming to all, whether they bought from her or not. Her smile was infections as she laughed with customers and other traders; her smile had to be shared with the world.
