Aerial Video Production for William's Social Media Campaign
Introduction: In this case study, we delve into a project that entailed creating aerial video content for a social media campaign initiated by William’s, a renowned entity in the motorsport industry. The goal was to seamlessly integrate aerial footage with ground-level cinematography and capture the essence of the William’s factory and its surroundings in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.
Project Overview: Upon receiving a request from a production company, the project was centred around producing aerial video content that aligned harmoniously with cine ground cameras, maintaining visual consistency. The chosen format for the aerial footage was ProRes, ensuring high-quality output that met the campaign’s standards.
Equipment Selection: To execute the project successfully, the team utilised the DJI Inspire 2 drone, renowned for its capability to capture footage in ProRes format. The usage of DJI SSDs (Solid State Drives) facilitated efficient data storage and retrieval. Additionally, the Mavic 3 drone was also employed to support the project’s requirements.
Location and Filming: The filming took place at the William’s factory located in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside. The primary objective was to capture captivating footage of both the serene countryside and the factory premises.
