On the 2nd of January, we were asked to photograph a special celebration for Brittany Ferries as they celebrated 50 years of crossing from Roscoff to Plymouth.
We met the Pilot boat crew at the Barbican in the early afternoon and left shore to find the inbound ferry. After travelling for 20 minutes the ferry came into view outside the break water
The Pilot Boat came alongside the ferry so that the Pilot could board.
It was then time for the main event. Two tug boats were to escort the ferry back to the port with a water canon salute. The first ferry was waiting just inside the break water and our job of photographing the boat could begin.
After the ferry had docked, we used the mavic3 drone to capture some aerialphotography for the Harbour Master. Despite some signal interference, the drone captured some great content. A real please to work with the Cattewater Harbourmaster team again!
